Meals 4 Monologues



Perform for Casting Directors & Agents and donate to the North Enfield Food Bank!

Casting Society Cares, the non-profit charitable arm of CSA, and Surviving Actors are proud to be hosting Meals 4 Monologues at this year’s event. Casting Directors & Agents will be devoting a full day to seeing actors who would like to participate in a food drive to benefit the North Enfield Food Bank. This is a great way to give back to the community and be seen by some wonderful Casting Directors and agents.

Sign up will be in the exhibition hall from 10am – slots are limited and work on a fist come, first served basis.

Please prepare a 2-minute contemporary monologue that showcases you as an actor.

Emma Sylvester
Emma was a jobbing actress before her move into casting. She is now working in house at the BBC as a Casting Assistant on Holby City. Prior to working at the BBC Emma cast projects for RSA films (Ridley Scott Associates) and social enterprise film production company Signature Pictures. Emma previously assisted Casting Director Carolyn McLeod on a variety of projects for Netflix and feature film ‘Bruno’ directed by Karl Golden.
Carol Dudley CDG
Carol began her career in Los Angeles with Reuben Cannon & Associates, casting The Josephine Baker Story (HBO) Moonlighting, Perry Mason Mysteries, Matlock, Call to Glory and Santa Barbara, among others, before moving to London in 1991.

Carol casts for stage and screen, but predominantly feature films. Theatre credits include: All My Sons (The Rose Theatre, Kingston upon Thames, dir. Michael Rudman) 2016 and the Hong Kong Tour of All My Sons in 2018. Film credits include Skybound (Vizionz, dir. Alexander Tavakoli, 2017 release), Shivaay (Directed by Ajay Devgn) 2016, The Cook (Senator Films GmbH, dir. Ralf Huttner, current); Mother of Tears and The Card Dealer (both directed by Dario Argento).

Past TV credits include Infiltrators for Belgian TV, this is currently airing in Belgium and Kingdom in Twilight (Konstantin Thoeren / Tandem, dir. Uli Edel); as well as numerous pilot searches for NBC, CBS, ABC and WB.

She is currently working on an indie, The Laureate about Robert Graves which is shooting in March and The Window, a new TV series about corruption in football to shoot in July.

She also has 3 other projects in various states of development.

Carol is a member of CDG (Casting Director’s Guild of GB), CSA, BAFTA and ATAS.

Sara Sehdev
Sara Sehdev started working in talent management in 2007. She founded Core MGMT, a boutique client-focused talent agency, in London in 2013, where she has worked to develop a diverse and exciting list of rising actors, directors and creatives. Prior to this, she worked at Independent Talent Group, Hamilton Hodell and Spotlight, following on from internships at the BBC at PFD Peters Fraser and Dunlop. In the past year, Sara has started to work more collaboratively with her talent to create and produce original content for film, television and stage, an aspect of the business that is developing rapidly.
Rae Hendrie
Rae Hendrie has been casting associate to Julie Harkin for several years, working on TV shows including; Kiri (Channel 4), ‘There She Goes’ (BBC), War and Peace (BBC), Fortitude (Sky Atlantic) and most recently Informer (BBC). She has also worked with Jill Trevellick, Nina Gold and Nicky Bligh.

Rae began her career as an actress and worked on various TV shows as well as working at theatres including Glasgow Citizens & The Royal Exchange in Manchester.

Sharon Sorrentino
Sharon has worked across all mediums in stage and screen on many award-winning productions. She primarily casts for screen now on television, independent films, commercials, short films and music videos.

Her film credits include: The Journey (multi-award winning), Jericho’s Walls Are Falling.
TV credits include: Murdered For Love? Samia Shahid; Queen Elizabeth I’s Secret Agents (RTS award winning and BAFTA nominated).

She is also a published author of a book of advice for actors ‘The Audition Room – A Down to Earth Guide’.

Irene Cotton, CDG
Started casting at The Old Vic with Jonathan Miller working on Shakespeare and the classics. National Theatre various directors. Casting help for ROH. Worked on various drama series for Talkback Thames, The Bill, Minder etc and many productions for CBBC and many award winning drama docs for Panorama. Many productions of Musical Theatre, West End, and Sheffield Crucible inc, Dirty Dancing in the West End. West Side Story. Opera House Estonia. Also a number of films inc Charlottes Song , Dancer Upstairs, Long Lonely Walk, In Memory, Above the Clouds. Jungle Tribes, 20176 Oscar winning short, Stutterer hundreds of commercials, inc award for casting. Casting for Steppenwolf in Chicago.
Polly Hootkins CDG
Polly was an actress and agent before becoming a casting director (a member of the Casting Directors’ Guild). Trained at LAMDA.
Film credits include : Winter Ridge, A New Day in Old Sana’a (cast and shot in Yemen), Captain Jack, The Long Kiss Goodnight, Cutthroat Island, Dark Blood (which was halted after the demise of River Phoenix) Prospero’ s Books and Utz. TV credits include : Wild at Heart, Rose & Maloney, Marguerite Volant (10 x1 hour series for French Canadian TV). Theatre credits include : Revivals for Optik Theatre Company, Chichester Festival Season, Faithful Dealing at Soho Theatre, M. Butterfly for Singapore Repertory Theatre, The Wood Demon at The Playhouse, London.
Ruth O’Dowd CDG
Ruth is a freelance theatre casting director.

Ruth began her casting career at the Orange Tree Theatre in Richmond before going freelance in 2014. She has worked as Associate for the Grandage Company, Almeida, Chichester Festival Theatre, Ambassador Theatre Group, Manchester International Festival, Royal Exchange Manchester and Ustinov Studio, Bath
Recent projects include Napoli, Brooklyn (Park Theatre), A New and Better You, A Kettle of Fish (Yard Theatre), The Outsider, Terminal 3 and Act (The Print Room), Ink (Duke of York’s Theatre), The Grapes of Wrath (Nuffield Theatre and tour). Ruth was also Resident Casting Director at the Unicorn Theatre.
Ruth is currently a mentor at the National Youth Theatre and has mentored at schools including Guildhall and Oxford School of Drama.

Carolyn McLeod
Casting for over 15 years, Carolyn is a freelance casting director, and a member of the Casting Society of America, who has worked with directors including Michael Caton-Jones, Paul Schrader and Sofia Coppola.

Recent projects include: UK indie features: BRUNO and SIX FROM EIGHT, US dance movie: FREE DANCE and Belgian thriller CONTROL. TV projects include: for Netflix: A CHRISTMAS PRINCE, A CHRISTMAS PRINCE: THE ROYAL WEDDING, THE PRINCESS SWITCH, and THE SAINT. Also film and TV projects for the BBC, ITV, Hallmark, SyFy Channel and Disney. Currently in Development: UK action movie 14 FISTS with John Hannah and Bai Ling, UK feature RED MIST, and a new UK TV series.

Olivia Brittain
Olivia Brittain’s credits as casting associate to Jina Jay include: ‘Black Mirror’ for Charlie Brooker & Annabel Jones, ‘Little Drummer Girl’ for Park Chan-Wook and ‘McMafia’ for James Watkins and Hossein Amini. Other notable projects whilst assisting Jina include ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ for Gareth Edwards and ‘The Night Manager’ for Susanne Bier.

Lee Morgan
Lee trained at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama. Following his performance career he became Head of Acting at a leading Drama School in London and a freelance Director. He launched Lee Morgan Management in 2005 and has since built a successful career as an agent.
Rob Kelly CSA
Rob is a prominent casting director, who together with his LA based business partner Kerrie Mailey CSA, works on projects in both the UK and US. He has previously cast for the likes of Netflix, Amazon, Sony, Sky, Disney, Lionsgate/E!, BBC etc.

He has spent his life in the arts, having previously founded and operated RKA Talent, a successful talent agency, and having a career as an actor and dancer.

As well as working with experienced and award winning actors, Rob is a big believer in discovering and nurturing new talent, and is currently casting for the next series of Sky’s ‘Bulletproof’, and feature film ‘Bloody London’.

Laura Windows
Laura Windows has over 10 years’ experience casting film, television and commercials for the UK, America and Australia. She began casting commercials, working with Sasha Roberston and then moved into film and television casting, working with Lucinda Syson and Elaine Grainger on projects such as ‘Stardust’, ‘Batman: The Dark Knight’ and Emmy winning ‘House of Saddam’. For television she has cast ‘DCI Banks’ with Laura Scott for ITV. She now works with Suzanne Smith. Recently they have cast ‘Origin’ for Youtube Originals, ‘Nighflyers’ for Netflix, ‘Carnival Row’ for Amazon. They have also cast ‘Lucky Man’ for Sky, ‘Mars’ for National Geographic and films such as ‘Resident Evil’ and ‘Underworld’. Currently they are working on ‘Pennyworth’ for Warner Bros.
